Kimberly Ovitz Fall/Winter 2012
New York Fashion Week
February, 9

Kimberly Ovitz was inspired by the concept of the warrior, specifically, the warrior’s attributes of vitality, perseverance and vigor. While I fail to see any connection between these garments and a “the concept of a warrior”, I do like this collection a lot. There is nothing to dislike about it. It is simple, but edgy and cool. This collection reminds me very much of the beautiful Freja Beha Erichsen. It is her style of clothing. A black palette, leather, layers, draping material, it just screams Freja. However there is nothing ground breaking about any of the designs in this collection and I do feel like I have seen it all before. But she is a young designer and I’m sure there’s much more to be seen in the future.
